Nick Imudia, is a former CEO of Konga, one of Nigeria’s largest e-commerce companies who killed himself in Lagos State Nigeria.

On Tuesday evening, June 25, 2024, in the evening, Imudia was reported to have leaped from the balcony of his apartment in the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos State.

Here is what to know about late Nick Imudia; 

  1. Imudia, a business executive and technology leader, was born on April 28, 1979, in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
  2. Between 1994 and 1997, Imudia graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Management from the Mikkeli Institute of Technology in Finland.
  3. He then went on to earn his Master of Engineering in Oil and Gas Technology from Aalborg University in 2000.
  4. 2012 saw him graduate from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with a Master of Business Administration in International Business Management.
  5. After working for NTC and Nok as a Design Engineer and Solution Manager, respectively, Imudia applied his passion for business expansion to advance to the position of General Manager/Managing Director at Nokia, a global leader in technology.
  6. He oversaw the operations and business management of Nokia Devices in West and Central Africa there. He oversaw the sales and marketing delivery as well.
  7. Imudia worked for Nokia for eight years before joining Alcatel OneTouch as the regional director for Nigeria and Central Africa.
  8. The late 45-year-old became the CEO of Konga, the massive Nigerian e-commerce company, after leaving Alcatel.
  9. He held the position from April 2018 to October 2022.
  10. Imudia served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the renewable energy provider d.light prior to his passing.
  11. He held the position at the Nairobi office in Kenya from October 2022.
  12. While much is unknown about his marital affairs, the late Delta State-born business and technology leader was previously married to the mother of his young daughter.
