2024 MTV EMA: Tyla claims best Afrobeats artist, outshines Asake, Rema,Tems
Grammy Award-winning sensation Tyla reached another peak in her career last night, winning the Best Afrobeats award at the 30th MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
Hosted by Rita Ora at the Co-op Arena, the ceremony celebrated a diverse array of artists, highlighting global music excellence.
Tyla emerged victorious in the Best Afrobeats category, which featured strong competition from celebrated artists Rema, Tems, Asake, Burna Boy, and Ayra Starr.
Upon receiving the award, Tyla thanked her peers, acknowledging their roles in propelling Afrobeats to the global stage.
The night was filled with powerful performances, making the EMAs’ 30th edition a true celebration of international music talent.
Tyla also extended heartfelt gratitude to her Maker, family, and friends, whose unwavering support and encouragement fueled her journey to this remarkable achievement.
