2027: By the power of God, Tinubu must be reelected – Umahi

Minister Umahi Declares Tinubu Will Complete Two Terms, Predicts Massive South-East Support
The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will serve two full terms, stating that he must be re-elected in the 2027 general elections by the “power of God.”
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Phase 1 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, Umahi emphasized that Tinubu’s leadership is crucial for completing major national projects.
“A man that has the courage to do what was dreamt 45 years back is the only man that will have the courage to finish it,” Umahi said. “I say we must vote for him in 2027. The President must be re-elected by the power of God. Those in support say ‘hi.’”
The minister highlighted that Tinubu’s administration has been fair to the South-East region since assuming office in 2023, noting that several federal projects have been initiated there. He assured that the South-East would stand behind Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Umahi, a former two-term governor of Ebonyi State, predicted overwhelming support from the region, claiming that the South-East would deliver 99 per cent of votes for Tinubu in the 2027 polls.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to have 99 per cent of the votes of the South-East because he has been very nice to the people of the South-East. They will leave the South-West to give us 99.99% in 2027,” he added.
He also dismissed concerns of project sabotage, stating that construction works across the country, including the Enugu-Abakaliki road and Afikpo-Abia-Okigwe project
