BREAKING: Gov Soludo sacks Commissioner over alleged incompetence
Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has dismissed Mr. Paul Nwosu, the state’s Commissioner for Information, due to alleged non-performance.
Sources from the Government House reveal that Governor Soludo’s decision stemmed from concerns about his administration’s image, particularly as the 2025 governorship election draws near.
According to an insider, “Mr. Nwosu has already packed his bags from the Ministry, and we’re just awaiting the official announcement.”
Many in Anambra, including government officials, were not surprised by Nwosu’s removal, calling it long overdue. Journalists in the state expressed that during Nwosu’s tenure, he rarely engaged with the press or responded to inquiries about government activities, a move they viewed as a major shortfall.
Governor Soludo has reportedly nominated a replacement for Nwosu, who will soon undergo screening by the state House of Assembly.
