The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Isaac Bristol, popularly known as PIDOMNIGERIA, a whistleblower involved in revealing corruption cases.

The news was shared by African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, via his X handle.

This development follows the postponement of Bristol’s bail hearing on September 11, 2024, which was rescheduled for September 27, 2024.

His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, had previously confirmed the delay through a WhatsApp message.

“The court granted bail to the protesters, but moved Bristol’s bail application to the 27th of this month,” Adeyanju said.

Bristol, after his arrest by the police in August 2024, was charged with nine counts, which included terrorism, money laundering, cybercrime, and evidence tampering.

The charges are in connection to his whistleblowing activities, where he was alleged to operated the X handle of “@PIDOMNigeria,” exposing alleged misconduct in the country.
