England captain Harry Kane sparked concerns on Saturday after being substituted in the 86th minute of Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against Bayer Leverkusen.

Kane appeared in discomfort following a challenge by Amine Adli, raising doubts about his availability for upcoming fixtures.

Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany addressed the situation, saying, “I’m not a doctor, but I hope it’s nothing serious.

Hopefully, he’ll be fit for Wednesday,” as the team prepares to face Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, added, “If Harry goes off the pitch, then it’s something. Now I hope he’s made of sturdy English wood,” reflecting the club’s concern.

Interim England boss Lee Carsley will also be hoping for a quick recovery, with crucial Nations League games against Greece and Finland just around the corner.

On the pitch, Bayer Leverkusen opened the scoring through Robert Andrich in the 31st minute after being set up by Granit Xhaka. Bayern equalized eight minutes later with a spectacular 25-yard strike from Aleksandar Pavlovic.

Kane played a key role, delivering a cross that nearly resulted in a goal for Serge Gnabry, who struck the post and crossbar in quick succession early in the second half.

Despite numerous efforts, including shots from Alphonso Davies and Konrad Laimer, neither team could find a winner.

The 1-1 draw keeps Bayern top of the Bundesliga with 13 points from five games, while Leverkusen trail closely in third place, three points behind.
