APC sweeps victory in all LG seats in Benue state poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of all 23 Local Government Areas in Benue State following local elections.

The results were announced on Sunday by Richard Tombowua, Chairman of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), who also confirmed the APC’s victory in all 276 council wards across the state.

Despite the participation of eight political parties, only five were actively involved in the elections, including APC, Labour Party (LP), Action Alliance Congress (AAC), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Tombowua praised the elections as the most credible and transparent in the state’s history, with no reported issues.

He invited all declared winners to the BSIEC headquarters at 2pm on Sunday to receive their certificates of return.
