‘It almost took my life’ – Jennifer Lopez opens up on divorce

American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, 55, has shared insights into her second breakup with ex-husband Ben Affleck.

After two years of marriage in their second attempt at rekindling their relationship, Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, coinciding with their two-year wedding anniversary.

The couple had previously separated in 2004 before reconnecting in recent years.

In an interview for Interview Magazine, Lopez opened up about the emotional toll of the split, stating that the divorce nearly “took [her] out for good.”

However, she emphasized that she has no regrets about the marriage, saying, “Not one second. That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did.”

Reflecting on the experience, she expressed gratitude for the growth it brought: “But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘That is exactly what I needed. Thank you, God. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.’”

Lopez’s candid remarks highlight the challenges of navigating love and loss, even in the public eye.

“I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me really hard over the head with a fucking sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. Don’t have to do it again.’”
