Tinuade Ladoja, wife of former Oyo Governor, passes away
Tinuade Ladoja, one of the wives of former Oyo State governor and Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja, has passed away at the age of 71.
She reportedly died on Monday morning after a brief illness.
The news of her demise was confirmed by Adeola Oloko, the media aide to former Governor Ladoja, during a telephone interview with News360 Nigeria in Ibadan, the state capital.
Her passing has led to an outpouring of condolences from family members and friends, as well as the wider Ibadan community.
Oloko said, “Yes, it is confirmed. She is dead. May God repose her soul.”
Until her demise, Tinuade was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.
The CCC Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, the parish she attended, also confirmed her death in a post on its Facebook page.
In the Facebook post, the church wrote, “It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
“We submit to His will. #farewell.”
