Lionel Messi scored his 10th international hat-trick and provided two assists as Argentina dismantled Bolivia 6-0 in their South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The victory, in front of a packed Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires, moved Messi level with Cristiano Ronaldo for the most hat-tricks in men’s international football.

Messi capitalized on a defensive error to open the scoring in the 19th minute, setting the tone for Argentina’s dominance.

Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez added to the lead with Messi providing assists, while Thiago Almada netted another in the second half.

Messi completed his hat-trick with two late goals, bringing his total to 112 goals for Argentina.

Argentina leads the qualifiers with 22 points from 10 matches, three points ahead of Colombia.

Messi’s performance further solidified his status, but he remained tight-lipped on his future participation in the 2026 World Cup.
