Tinubu appoints Bianca Ojukwu, Jumoke Oduwole, five others as new ministers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers to his cabinet, including notable figures such as Ambassador Bianca Odimegwu Ojukwu, widow of the late Ikemba of Nnewi, who will serve as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Jumoke Oduwole, former Executive Secretary to the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, has been appointed as Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Other key appointments include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi as Minister of Labour and Employment, and Idi Mukhtar Maiha, who will head the newly established Ministry of Livestock Development. Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata has been named Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, while Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad has been appointed as Minister of State for Education.

Additionally, former Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, has been appointed as Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation, reportedly replacing Ajuri Ngelale, who resigned in September amid controversy.

President Tinubu urged the new ministers to view their appointments as a call to serve the nation, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to driving Nigeria towards irreversible growth and urging them to contribute their best efforts to the realization of government priorities.
