Gov. Bago approves N80,000 minimum wage for Niger workers

Governor Umar Bago of Niger State has announced the approval of a new minimum wage of N80,000 for workers in the state.

He shared the update on his official X account, stating, “In our own magnanimity as a state government, we have decided to adopt the minimum wage of N80,000 (Eighty Thousand Naira).”

This decision marks a significant step towards improving the welfare of public sector employees in Niger State.

The move aligns with recent efforts in other states to adjust wages to address rising living costs, showing the government’s commitment to enhancing workers’ livelihoods.
