Two die as police, soldier clash in Nasarawa
The Nasarawa State Police Command has reported that a clash between a police special constabulary officer and a soldier led to the deaths of two individuals in the Agyaragu community, Obi Local Government Area.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, the confrontation occurred at Agyaragu market, where the soldier and constabulary officer reportedly got into a fight that escalated, resulting in both parties sustaining stab wounds.
Both individuals were taken to the hospital following the incident.
Sadly, the soldier succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment, sparking heightened tension in the area.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident to understand the circumstances that led to the tragic altercation.
