BBNaija star Eloswag’s sex tape goes viral

Eloka Nwamu, widely known as Eloswag from the popular reality TV show Big Brother Naija,  has become the latest Nigerian celebrity to experience a leaked intimate video scandal.

On Sunday, a video featuring Eloswag in an intimate moment with an unidentified woman was shared online by the entertainment platform Gistlover. The footage quickly went viral, sparking widespread reactions and backlash across social media.

In response, Eloswag expressed his shock over the rapid spread of the video and has since threatened to pursue legal action against Gistlover for publishing the clip.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the reality TV star voiced his dismay in a post that has since been deleted, making clear his intention to hold the platform accountable for the leak.

The incident has added to the ongoing discourse around privacy and consent in the age of social media, as more Nigerian celebrities face similar challenges with unauthorized sharing of personal content.

He said, “I posted a video mistakenly on my Snapchat by 3 a.m. and deleted it immediately. Guess who has the video? GISTLOVER? How? Please, can I sue? Because it doesn’t make sense.”

Fans have questioned whether the leak of the video was truly a mistake like he claimed or a deliberate attempt to gain relevance after leaving the BBNaija house.
