Ekiti: Gov Oyebanji names Justice Lekan Ogunmoye as Acting Chief Judge
Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has appointed Hon. Justice Lekan Adekanye Ogunmoye as the Acting Chief Judge of the state.
This appointment, effective November 5, 2024, follows the passing of Hon. Justice John Oyewole Adeyeye on November 4.
Governor Oyebanji exercised his constitutional powers under Section 271 (4) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) to make the appointment. Born on November 6, 1963, Hon. Justice Ogunmoye was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1987 and has served as a judge since April 1, 2010.
In his message, Governor Oyebanji expressed his confidence in the new Acting Chief Judge’s leadership and wished him a successful tenure in his new role.
