Monday Okpebholo sworn in as Edo State Governor
Monday Okpebholo has been officially sworn in as the Governor of Edo State, succeeding Godwin Obaseki, whose tenure spanned eight years.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the state capital.
Okpebholo, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), took the oath of office alongside his deputy, Dennis Idahosa. The event came two months after the APC secured victory in the gubernatorial election, paving the way for a new administration in the Dennis Osadebay House.
Dignitaries in attendance included Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, and other notable figures, who gathered to witness the historic occasion.
More to come.
