The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has achieved a decisive victory in the recently concluded Zamfara State local government elections, securing all 14 chairmanship seats and winning every councillorship position.

The results were announced on Sunday morning by the Chairman of the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC), Bala Aliyu.

Aliyu commended the elections as free, fair, and credible, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of security agencies, election officials, and the voters. The victorious candidates won across all local government areas, including Gusau, Kaura-Namoda, Maru, Talata Mafara, and Anka.

Wadatau Madawaki, the PDP representative at the collation center, hailed the outcome as a strong endorsement of the party’s leadership and its commitment to the state’s development. He urged the newly elected chairmen to align with Governor Dauda Lawal’s Rescue Mission, aiming to advance Zamfara State’s progress.

Independent observers reported a peaceful electoral process, highlighting the effective security measures that contributed to the smooth conduct of the polls.
