Olowookere has retained a core group from the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic, where they also earned the FIFA Fair Play Trophy.

The Flamingos were eliminated by the eventual bronze medallists, the USA, in a 2-0 loss.

Nigeria is placed in Group B of the six-team tournament, alongside Cote d’Ivoire and Niger Republic.

Group A features host nation Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Benin Republic, promising an exciting two weeks of competition.

All invited players are expected to report at the Remo Stars Sports Institute, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State on Tuesday, 3rd December 2024.
