Tinubu to depart Nigeria for South Africa for Ramaphosa inauguration
On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, President Bola Tinubu will depart Lagos for Pretoria, South Africa, to attend President Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration.
According to a terse statement issued by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale on Monday, President Ramaphosa’s inauguration comes after his re-election for a second term.
“President Tinubu will return to Nigeria after the ceremony,” Ngelale added.
News360 reports that President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and First Lady Remi Tinubu spent not less than N5.24bn on local and foreign travel between January and March 2024.
