A bar man in Adamawa State has lost his life to a sex worker over a N200 change the sex worker was supposed to give him.

According to available information, the sex worker, Riyanatu Musa, had bought drinks from the barman, Yohana Musa, to the tune of N1,700, out of which she paid N1,500 and promised the barman the balance of N200 the next day.

The state police command, which is investigating the matter, says Riyanatu, who is under its custody, has confessed stabbing Yohanna in a fit of anger over the change.

Riyanatu, a resident of Mubi South Local Government Area, said the fatal stabbing occurred in the course of disagreement over the N200 balance the barman was supposed to collect from her.

She said she had collected a dry gin known as ‘Big Ben’ and one other drink amounting to N1,700 from Yohana, and a fight ensued between her and Yohana when he demanded for his money, and she stabbed him with a knife in the chest.

She said the stabbing was the result of pure fury and not because she was drunk, as she did not take the drinks just before the fight.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the normal course of law would be followed in the case.

He said the state Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, had ordered discreet investigation into the matter with a view to prosecution.
