Lady murdered by gospel singer finally laid to rest amid tears (Video)
The remains of Salome Adaidu, the young lady allegedly murdered by gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi, have been laid to rest, leaving her family and community in deep mourning.
Ajayi was apprehended in Nasarawa State after reportedly being caught with Adaidu’s severed head concealed in a polythene bag.
The horrifying incident occurred on Sunday in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, a community near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Authorities acted swiftly after receiving an intelligence tip-off, leading them to an uncompleted building where Ajayi was arrested.
During interrogation, Ajayi, who is also known for his presence as a motivational speaker on TikTok, confessed to the gruesome crime.
In a now-viral video, the suspect revealed that he had been in a one-year relationship with Adaidu before her death.
He alleged that a heated argument escalated into a violent confrontation during which Adaidu purportedly tried to stab him with a knife.
Ajayi, who gained some recognition after releasing his album God of the Earth in 2020, disclosed that the rest of Adaidu’s body was at his residence.
On Monday night, Adaidu’s remains were interred, as captured in a viral video showing a group of men performing the burial while the sounds of mournful weeping could be heard in the background.
