Enugu Labour Party Rep Members dumps party, join APC

In a significant political shift, four Labour Party (LP) members of the House of Representatives from Enugu State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement was made during an APC Progressive Governors’ Forum and National Working Committee meeting, which also included APC state chairmen. Chief Uche Nnaji and Chief Emma Eneukwu were present as the defection was formalized.
The lawmakers who joined the APC include:
1. Hon. Sunday Umeha – Representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal Constituency
2. Hon. Chima Atu – Representing Enugu North/Enugu South Federal Constituency
3. Hon. Chidi Obetta – Representing Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal Constituency
4. Hon. Oguerinwa Amadi – Former PDP House of Reps member (2015-2023) and LP senatorial candidate for Enugu West Senatorial Zone
5. Barr. Emeka Mamah – Former Commissioner and Enugu State Coordinator for Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign
