Bandits kill four, kidnap Zamfara LG vice chairman, several others

Bandits have unleashed terror in Zamfara State, killing four people and reportedly kidnapping the Vice Chairman of Bukkuyyum Local Government Area, Hon. Bala Muhammad Maijidadi, along with several others.
News360 Nigeria reports that the coordinated attacks occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning, leaving communities in fear.
A local resident, Nasiru Adamu, revealed in a telephone interview that the gunmen stormed Shemori community in Mada District, Gusau, at around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, abducting six women.
It was also gathered that early on Monday, another gang of bandits stormed Kairu community in Zugu District, killing two locals and abducting an unspecified number of people.
In Mada town, Gusau district, the gunmen targeted Hayin Bajumi, where they burnt the house of one Aliyu Usman.
“The fire incident killed two of his children, five-year-old Ishaq Aliyu and two-year-old Jafar Aliyu.
“The gunmen also abducted Usman’s neighbour’s wife, along with her one-year-old baby before fleeing the scene,” the source disclosed.
All efforts to get the reaction of the State police spokesman, ASP Yazeed Abubakar proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
