‘Dating is unbiblical, should be abolished’ – Solomon Buchi reveals

Nigerian media personality Solomon Buchi has stirred reactions by asserting that dating and the talking stage should be banned, as they are not biblically supported.  

In a video shared on his page, Buchi argued that men in the Bible were intentional about marriage and did not engage in prolonged courtship before tying the knot.

According to him, biblical figures did not go through a “talking stage” before getting married, emphasizing that modern dating practices are unnecessary.

His statement has sparked discussions online, with some agreeing with his perspective, while others argue that relationships require time for compatibility assessment before marriage.

“Where in the Bible have you seen someone say I want to know your daughter. I want to get into a talking stage with your daughter. Men were very intentional. They move with intention’ I want to marry you”.

Solomon stated that one of the big problems in the society is dating. He added that human beings have complicated everything in terms of their relationship.
