BREAKING: (2025 Budget) Gov Fubara denied access to Rivers Assembly

A dramatic scene unfolded on Wednesday at the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex when Governor Siminalayi Fubara arrived, only to find the entrance locked.  

Eyewitnesses reported that security personnel secured the gates just as the governor’s convoy approached, preventing entry into the premises.

When questioned, the security officers explained that the decision to lock the gates was due to the absence of any official communication from the governor regarding his visit.

However, Governor Fubara countered this claim, stating that he had formally written to Speaker Martins Amaewhule and had attempted to reach him by phone since Tuesday.
