The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has appointed Max Air as the official airline responsible for transporting Jigawa State pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj.

This announcement was made by the Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Ahmed Labbo, through the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Babura, in Dutse, the state capital.

Labbo confirmed that the airlift of intending pilgrims will begin in May 2025. He expressed confidence in the ongoing preparations, ensuring a smooth and comfortable travel experience.

He also assured that necessary arrangements, including travel bags and uniforms for the pilgrims, have been finalized and are ready for collection.

The DG reiterated the board’s commitment to providing a seamless experience for pilgrims at home and abroad.

Therefore, he attributed the selection of Max Air to NAHCON’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for all pilgrims.

Accordingly, Labbo thanked Governor Umar Namadi for his continued support and leadership, transforming the Pilgrim Welfare Board into a successful entity in Hajj operations.

He further explained that “as the 2025 Hajj approaches, the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains focused on providing exceptional services to pilgrims, ensuring a memorable and spiritual experience.”

Furthermore, the DG hinted that the selection of Max Air for the journey is expected to yield positive results, building on the airline’s previous success in airlifting.
