Impeachment: Fubara is going nowhere, forget wike, lawmakers – Isaac Fayose

Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has dismissed the ongoing impeachment move against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, insisting that the governor will not be removed from office.

In a viral video released on Monday, Fayose strongly criticized Nyesom Wike and the pro-Wike lawmakers in the Rivers State House of Assembly, describing their actions as futile.

“Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara is going nowhere. Forget all these things drunkard Wike and his pro-lawmakers are doing,” Fayose said in the video.

His view comes amid fresh impeachment proceedings against Governor Fubara, initiated by Speaker Martin Amaewhule and 26 lawmakers loyal to Wike.

The ongoing political crisis in Rivers State has escalated since Fubara’s fallout with Wike, his predecessor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
