Vinicius Junior emerges UEFA Champions League Player of the season
Vinicius Junior has been the named Champions League Player of the Season by UEFA on Monday after leading Real Madrid to European triumph.
Jude Bellingham, his teammate, was also honoured with the Young Player Award.
Vinicius, a Brazilian forward, demonstrated his talent by scoring six goals and giving five assists during Real Madrid’s successful season.
His impactful contribution included the crucial second goal in the 2-0 triumph against Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley Stadium.
This victory marked Real Madrid’s record-extending 15th European championship title, a remarkable achievement celebrated by fans worldwide.
Expressing his gratitude, the 23-year-old Vinicius said, “I’m very happy to be able to win another Champions League with this club, which has given me so much.”
Meanwhile, England midfielder Jude Bellingham was recognized as the Champions League Young Player of the Season. The 20-year-old impressed with his remarkable performance in his debut season with the Spanish giants, contributing four goals and five assists in the Champions League campaign. Real Madrid also clinched the Spanish league title during this successful season.
“I can’t put it into words,” Bellingham expressed. “It’s the best night of my life. It’s got to be up there in terms of the perfect season.”
