BREAKING: Court remands ex-Power Minister, Mamman in Kuje Prison
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that former Minister of Power Saleh Mamman be remanded in custody at Kuje Prison in Abuja until his bail plea is looked into.
On Thursday, July 11, Justice James Omotosho granted the order following the arraignment of Mamman on a 12-count charge relating to money laundering offenses.
The judge scheduled the hearing for the bail application to take place on Friday, July 12. Additionally, the judge instructed that the defendant be held in custody at the Kuje correctional center until the hearing.
The accused, described as unwell by his attorney, appeared disheartened as he descended from the dock following the judge’s decision.
