In a latest development, the Kano State Government has brought forward fresh charges against former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and former Commissioner for Justice, Musa Lawan.

The charges levelled against them include criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of funds, and abuse of office, as outlined in the Penal Code and Kano State laws.

According to the charge sheet (No. K/143c/24), the state government accuses Ganduje and Lawan of violating Sections 308, 309, 97, and 315 of the penal code. The government intends to present four witnesses in court, but no arraignment date has been set yet.

This development marks a new twist in the legal battle between Ganduje and the state government.

The former governor has been embroiled in several legal cases with the New Nigerian People’s Party-led state government since leaving office.
