JUST-IN: Bobrisky released from jail
Popular cross dresser Bobrisky, known for his controversial presence and influence, has reportedly returned home after a brief stint in jail.
Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and convicted on April 5 following his guilty plea.
The court initially reserved sentencing until April 9.
However, due to public holidays declared by the Federal Government on April 9, 10, and 11, the case proceedings were delayed.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro sentenced Bobrisky without an option for a fine, and the imprisonment was set to take effect from the date of his arrest. This development has added to the ongoing discussions about Bobrisky and his legal issues.
Bobrisky was released on Monday, August 5, 2024.
His release has already sparked significant reactions across social media platforms.
