USA to battle D’Tigress in Paris Olympics Women’s Basketball quarter-finals
Reigning champions the USA will meet Nigeria in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics women’s basketball tournament on Wednesday, following the draw on Sunday.
Nigeria has made history as the first African nation to reach this stage of the Olympic basketball competition, both men and women.
They secured their spot by defeating Canada 79-70, while the USA advanced with a 87-68 victory over Germany, led by Jackie Young and A’ja Wilson.
In other quarter-final matchups, France will face Germany, Spain will take on Belgium, and Serbia will play against Australia. The knockout rounds are being held in Paris after the group stages were completed in Lille.
