England names Lee Carsley as interim manager
The English Football Association (FA) has announced that Lee Carsley, the current manager of England’s under-21 team, will temporarily take charge of the senior national team, the Three Lions.
Carsley will lead the team in the upcoming Nations League matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland scheduled for September.
The FA’s decision to appoint Carsley comes as they continue their search for a permanent successor to Gareth Southgate. Depending on the progress of this search, Carsley’s tenure could be extended beyond the initial matches.
More updates are expected as the FA finalizes their plans for the future leadership of the national team.
