Tinubu to embark on three-day official trip to Equatorial Guinea
President Bola Tinubu is set to depart Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, following an invitation from President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
The details of the visit were confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity.
During the visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with President Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa in Malabo to discuss key bilateral issues and strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The leaders of Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea are set to meet for discussions centered on crucial bilateral issues, with a particular emphasis on oil, gas, and security.
During the meeting, both nations aim to strengthen their cooperation through the signing of several agreements in these sectors, enhancing their strategic partnership and addressing mutual interests.
The statement added, “The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet who will be involved in the signing of agreements and review of opportunities to improve bilateral relations.”
