EPL update: Ndidi gets new shirt number at Leicester City
Wilfred Ndidi, who has worn the jersey number 25 since joining Leicester City from Belgian Pro League club Racing Genk in 2017, will now sport the number 6 jersey.
This change comes after the departure of Jonny Evans, who previously wore the number 6.
The Nigerian international, known for his defensive prowess in midfield, signed a new three-year contract with the Foxes last month.
Ndidi’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of June, but his commitment to Leicester City has been reaffirmed with this extension.
The 27-year-old’s change in jersey number marks a new chapter in his career at the King Power Stadium as he continues to be a key player for the team.
Ndidi has registered 17 goals and 17 assists in 273 appearances for the former Premier League champions.
