Can’t we remain family without P-square? – Rudeboy to brothers

The ongoing feud among the Okoye brothers, who once formed the iconic Nigerian music group P-Square, has taken another troubling turn.

Paul Okoye, widely known as Rudeboy, recently voiced his deep dismay over the growing rift with his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr P) and their elder brother Jude Okoye.

In a heartfelt statement, Paul questioned why, despite their business split, they cannot come together as a family.

The P-Square crisis, which has captivated fans and made headlines for years, escalated when Paul accused Peter of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have him arrested.

This accusation surfaced during a recent interview, further straining their relationship.

Peter Okoye responded with an open letter on social media, denying the allegations.

He clarified that his actions were focused on uncovering the truth about a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by Jude Okoye and his wife, Ifeoma.

Peter emphasized that his concerns were rooted in transparency and fairness rather than revenge.

Jude Okoye, who has been pulled into the controversy, addressed the situation during an Instagram live session.

He strongly denied Peter’s claims of diverting P-Square’s royalties, valued at millions of dollars, into a private account, dismissing them as baseless.

The public fallout among the Okoye brothers has left fans and followers of P-Square disheartened. Many had hoped for a reconciliation after the group’s previous split in 2017 and brief reunion in 2021.

However, speaking during an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, 2024, Rudeboy said, “Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?

“Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”

Paul’s recent plea underscores the emotional toll this feud has taken on the family. Despite their professional differences, Paul continues to advocate for unity, hoping that the brothers can find a way to reconcile and move forward together.
