Flooding: Its a national disaster, Buhari commiserates with Borno residents
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his condolences to the government and people of Borno State, along with other states affected by recent severe floods.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his media aide, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari described the floods caused by incessant downpours as a “national calamity.”
The former president expressed sorrow over the widespread devastation, including the destruction of homes, farmlands, and the tragic loss of lives.
He also conveyed his hope that relief measures provided by various governments would bring comfort to the affected communities and help them rebuild their lives.
“My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this natural disaster,” Buhari said, offering his heartfelt sympathies to the victims and their families.
