BREAKING: Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle, passes away at 86
The Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has passed away at the age of 86.
The monarch’s death was officially confirmed by the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Yinka Fasuyi, in a statement made in Osogbo, the Oyo State capital.
Oba Aromolaran had been ailing for some time, and his health had raised concerns before the official announcement of his passing.
In a heartfelt tribute, Chief Fasuyi remarked that the monarch’s demise marks the end of an era, acknowledging Oba Aromolaran’s long-standing reign and significant impact on Ijesaland during his time on the throne.
