A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, says the Arewa Consultative Forum has no political influence to stop President Bola Tinubu from getting a landslide victory in the North, come 2027 presidential election.

“The ACF has no political value or influence to stop President Bola Tinubu from massively winning the northern votes in 2027,”Kwankwaso said in a statement circulated to newsmen in Kano on Friday.

He was responding to criticisms by some members of the ACF, including Solomon Dalung,of the APC National Chairman,Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, over a statement credited to him that the North should wait for 2031 to reclaim power.

“Ganduje was right to have said that the North should wait till 2031 to start talking about power, because President Tinubu is doing well in turning around the country for the good of all Nigerians, and should be allowed to complete his eight-year term in 2031,” he said.

The APC bigwig particularly cited the president’s development strides in the North including the establishment of the Northwest Development Commission spearheaded by the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, and his approval for the construction of a N150 billion Kano city railway line, spearheaded by the Chairman House of the Representatives Appropriation Committee, Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, mong several other projects.

“Today the entire Northern Nigeria has become a project site with so many ongoing projects being executed with the full support of President Tinubu, and more are coming by the time he wins his second term in 2027,” he said.

Kwankwaso then lauded Dr Ganduje for providing “sound leadership” to the APC, which he said is responsible for the defection of hundreds of members of opposition parties to the ruling party.

“Apart from winning so many states for the APC in run off elections, Ganduje is on daily basis receiving Senators, members of House of Representatives and other top echelons of other parties into the APC.

“And here in Kano State, the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, has been receiving former commissioners in the NNPP Government as well as and other top members of the NNPP into the APC.

“These and many other strong points clearly show that President Tinubu will convincingly win his second term in 2027,God willing,” the APC Stalwart added.
