Celtic endured a nightmare evening at Signal Iduna Park as Borussia Dortmund delivered a 7-1 demolition in their UEFA Champions League clash, with Karim Adeyemi’s first-half hat-trick setting the tone for the German side’s dominance.

The Scottish champions found themselves behind after just six minutes, but Daizen Maeda quickly equalized two minutes later, offering Celtic brief hope.

However, Dortmund swiftly regained control, and Adeyemi’s hat-trick, combined with penalties from Emre Can and Serhou Guirassy, sent the hosts into the break with a commanding 5-1 lead.

Despite Celtic’s efforts to halt the onslaught in the second half, further defensive mistakes allowed Guirassy to add his second goal, while substitute Felix Nmecha sealed an unforgettable 7-1 victory for Borussia Dortmund.

Brendan Rodgers’ side had no answers to Dortmund’s relentless attacking display, leaving Celtic to reflect on a humbling night in Europe.
