Again, fire engulfs grains market in Sokoto

Sokoto State has experienced yet another devastating fire outbreak, this time at the renowned Kara Market, known for its trade in grains and other goods.
The inferno, which erupted in the early hours of Saturday, rapidly spread across the market, reducing numerous grain stores and shops to ashes.
While the exact cause of the fire remains unknown, officials from the state fire service are actively working to contain the blaze.
As of the time of this report, shop owners and residents in nearby buildings were seen hastily evacuating their belongings, fearing the fire could spread further.
Efforts to speak to the market’s general manager failed as he was seen trying to ensure that people did not take advantage of the situation to loot.
