Airport worker who returned $10,000 found on aircraft, cites faith motivation
Auwalu Ahmed Dankade, an employee of a handling company at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, has earned widespread praise after returning $10,000 (approximately N15 million) he discovered while cleaning an Egyptian aircraft.
Dankade reported the find to his company manager, leading to the successful identification and return of the money to its rightful owner.
In a conversation with News Men, Dankade shared that his decision was driven by his desire to please Allah and adhere to the values instilled in him by his parents.
“I have been trained not to take what does not belong to me. Anything you take unlawfully, you will be held accountable for in the hereafter,” he said.
Dankade’s employers are reportedly planning to invite him to Lagos on Friday, where he might receive a reward for his integrity and honesty.
