Angry youths storm streets, protest raid of Ondo nightclubs by EFCC officials
On Monday morning, hundreds of youths marched through Akure’s streets to protest the Economic and Financial Crime Commission’s (EFCC) raid on several hotels and event centres in the state capital over the weekend.
On Saturday, commission agents searched Signature and Abah Clubs in Akure, Ondo State, where 127 alleged online fraudsters were apprehended during a “Yahoo Party”.
Armed with placards with various inscriptions, the angry youth converged at the Alagbaka Roundabout of the ancient city, and moved round the major streets of the state capital to register their displeasure over the raid.
