Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Emirates until 2027.

His previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season, but the Gunners have moved quickly to secure the Spaniard’s services.

Arteta took over Arsenal during a challenging period and has since led an impressive transformation.

Under his leadership, the club has become serious contenders for the Premier League title, consistently challenging Manchester City over the past two seasons.

While they have narrowly missed out on the trophy both times, Arteta’s efforts have earned him widespread recognition for the team’s progress.

Having previously worked as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at Manchester City, Arteta played a key role in their success.

Now, he hopes to guide Arsenal to their first league title in over 20 years, seeking to outpace his former mentor Guardiola. The announcement comes just before Arsenal’s highly anticipated visit to Tottenham Stadium.

The 42-year-old manager brought immediate success to Arsenal by winning the FA Cup in his debut season, but he is still chasing more silverware. With a young, dynamic squad now in place, Arteta’s team is poised to be a serious contender for major trophies in the coming years.
