Bauchi LG polls: Labour Party win highest votes without candidate at Bogoro

In an unusual turn of events, the Labour Party in Bauchi State secured the highest number of votes in the Bogoro councillorship election for Lusa B Ward, despite not having a candidate in the race.

The Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) declared Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner and the newly elected councillor, as she came in second with 2,168 votes.

The Labour Party, surprisingly, garnered 2,200 votes, leading the election without a formal candidate.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mbam Masoyi, came in third with 275 votes. This unusual situation reflects the complexities and sometimes unexpected outcomes of local elections.
