Billionaire businessman Michael Bloomberg buys $4m Hamptons Home for pregnant daughter

It’s a season of joyful milestones for Georgina Bloomberg, the 41-year-old equestrian and daughter of former New York City Mayor and billionaire businessman, Michael Bloomberg.

Not only is she expecting a baby girl, but she’s also the proud new owner of a luxurious waterfront home in the Hamptons.

According to a report by The New York Times, Georgina recently purchased a property on Cold Point Road in Southampton, situated just a few minutes from her father’s sprawling estate.

The house, which was last listed at $4.29 million, was secured in an all-cash deal for $4 million on May 30.

A source close to the Bloomberg family noted, “Michael wants to be close to his grandchildren.”

With the new home less than a five-minute drive from his estate, family visits and bonding time with the grandkids will now be much easier.

Built in 2012 and designed by architect John David Rose, the residence overlooks Cold Spring Pond and Peconic Bay Beach.

Although modest compared to her father’s 22,000-square-foot Ballyshear estate, the 3,000-square-foot home stands out for its elegance and charm.

The two-storey home boasts four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a stone fireplace in the living area, and expansive windows that flood the house with natural light and captivating bay views.

The property offers beach access, community tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, an outdoor shower, and a private boat dock.

Though it lacks a pool, the serene waterfront setting more than compensates, complemented by covered porches and a screened-in sitting room for a breezy, family-friendly atmosphere.

Georgina currently shares a son, Sebastian, born in 2023, with her partner, financier Justin Waterman. She also has a son, Jasper, born in 2013, from her previous relationship with Argentine Olympic show jumper Ramiro Quintana.

The couple is now eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child.

In a recent Instagram post to her 100,000 followers, Georgina shared her excitement, writing: “Two-week countdown begins today. I cannot wait to meet you baby girl.”
