Background
Ngozi Ezeonu, who has six siblings, was born in Owerri, Imo State to Dennis and Ezenwanyi Ikpelue on May 23rd, 1965 but is a native of Ogbunike in Anambra State, Nigeria.
She studied journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and later worked for Radio Lagos and Eko FM before becoming well-known as an actress.
Career
With a career spanning several films and critical praise for her roles, Ezeonu started her acting career in the late 1990s.
Despite being most recognized for her roles as mothers, Ezeonu began her acting career playing younger roles.
She was offered a supporting role as Nkechi, the antagonist’s best friend in the 1994 Igbo blockbuster ‘Nneka the Pretty Serpent’, by seasoned director Zeb Ejiro in 1993 after which she played Thelma, a high society mistress, in the film ‘Glamour Girls’ that same year.

Ogechukwu Edwina, Chidera, Melveen, and the lastborn daughter, whose name is unknown, are the four children that the actress and her ex-husband were fortunate to have.
