The Ajimobi family has been thrown into mourning following the death of Bisola Kola-Daisi, the first child of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi. She passed away at the age of 44 after a brief illness in the United Kingdom.

Bisola was a well-known businesswoman and philanthropist, recognized for her role as the Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading retail and wholesale chain, and as the founder of Florence H. Luxury boutique.

Her influence in the luxury retail sector made her a prominent figure in Nigeria’s business scene.

She was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, an Ibadan-born politician and bank executive, with whom she had three children. Her grieving husband shared his sorrow on social media, writing, “The world has lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in everything. Her spirit will live on in our children.”

Beyond business, Bisola also played a role in governance, serving as a special adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu.

Friends and colleagues have described her as a compassionate and inspiring figure who was always willing to support others.

As news of her passing spreads, tributes have poured in from across Nigeria, with many remembering her warmth, dedication, and contributions to business and public service.

More to come.
