BREAKING: Fire outbreak rocks Katsina Government House
A fire reportedly broke out at the Katsina State Government House in the early hours of Monday, leaving the community in shock. The incident occurred around 6 a.m., though the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
According to a local resident, Alhaji Bashir, whose house is close to the Government House, the fire started without warning, causing immediate concern among those in the vicinity. Emergency services were quickly alerted, and efforts to contain the blaze were initiated.
As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the extent of the damage or the possible causes of the fire. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident thoroughly to determine what led to the outbreak.
The Katsina State Government House is a key administrative hub for the state, and the fire has raised concerns about the potential disruption of government activities.
He said, “I saw a fire service truck rushing in. I was in my house as early as 6 am after prayers, a fire service truck rushed into the Government House, and I later learnt there was an inferno inside the red chamber where Governor Dikko used to host guests”.
Our correspondent’s efforts to speak with the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim l Mohammed, proved abortive as he failed to respond to his calls.
