BREAKING: LG Chairman, Remi Abass, shot dead in Osun

The sacked chairman of Irewole Local Government, Osun State, Mr. Remi Abass, has been killed.

According to Osun Defender, Abass, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was shot dead by hoodlums who invaded the local government secretariat in Ikire today.

The late chairman was among those reportedly reinstated by the Court of Appeal last week. His death comes amid heightened political tensions in Osun, as APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members clash over control of local government councils.
